Diagnosis of Liver Disease
A routine checkup may reveal liver cancer if the physician feels hard lumps in the abdomen. Imaging studies may also reveal irregularities in the liver. Confirmation of diagnosis of liver cancer would involve analysis of blood tests, ultrasound, CT scans, MRIs. Ultimately a biopsy, in which a sample of liver tissue is examined for cancer cells, will confirm or rule out liver cancer.
